Federally Qualified Health Centers and Local Health Departments

posted on Fri, Oct 4 2013 1:56 pm by The Network

A public health official asked the Network for further policy information on a federal health regulation, specifically whether a local health department could qualify as a community health center by the regulations of the Health Resources and Services Administration. The Network connected the local official with the appropriate federal health official who joined the Network. The federal official was able to answer his questions and inform him on the federal policy related to his concern. For additional information on the topic, the Network sent him a publication entitled, "Partnerships between Federally Qualified Health Centers and Local Health Departments for Engaging in the Development of a Community-Based System of Care."
