Examining Health Impact Assessments

posted on Wed, Aug 1 2012 12:00 am by The Network

The Network recently received a request from a public health official asking how local and state health departments might be impacted by Section 503 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2012. This section of the Appropriations Act provided new language on what lobbying restrictions apply to federal grantees.

The Network responded by discussing potential narrow and broad implications of the section with the requestor and providing two pertinent resources: a CDC guidance document and information about a webinar on Complying with Anti-Lobbying Rules held by ChangeLab Solutions on July 9, 2012. The ChangeLab Solutions web page on the webinar includes a recording as well as other relevant resources on lobbying restrictions.
