Anna Schmalzbauer, M.P.P., leads development of long-term operational strategies, and oversees the delivery and evaluation of programs, services, and projects, as well as providing financial management and management of organizational policies, systems, and procedures. Anna is also responsible for directing the planning and organizing of the Network’s Public Health Law Conference. Before joining the Network, Anna worked for ten years at a consulting agency, advising public sector organizations in areas such as performance and process redesign, and helping them identify and implement strategies for improvement. Her clients include the US Department of Education, State of Iowa, Ecumen, Volunteers of America and the Minnesota Historical Society, among others. Anna attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and graduated with a triple major in Political Science, History and Latin American Studies. She was awarded a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota. Her Master’s studies focused on urban poverty and public management.
