Reproductive Health Care: Anticipated Changes and Potential Impacts Under the New Administration

Overview

October 16, 2025 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. CT

This webinar will offer attendees an overview of changes in law and policy that impact access to reproductive health care directly or through indirect measures that deter pregnant people from seeking care. This webinar is an extension of a workshop held at the recent 2025 Public Health Law Conference and the bulk of the time will be devoted to attendees’ questions on the topics presented.

Attend this webinar to learn about:

  • Changes to Title X and Medicaid funding for reproductive health care and pending litigation threatening the availability of medication abortion drugs.
  • The elimination of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Rule to Support Reproductive Health Care Privacy and the impact elimination of the rule may have on medical professionals and on pregnant people who suffer miscarriage or have an abortion.
  • The intersecting issue of state laws mandating reporting of abortion care or other fetal death as they relate to the elimination of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Rule to Support Reproductive Health Care Privacy.
  • How laws mandating reporting of abortion care or other fetal death contribute to the possibility of criminalizing miscarriage.

Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance and can do so when registering for the webinar.
