Reproductive Health Equity in Carceral Settings 

Incarcerated individuals in prisons face significant barriers to essential reproductive health services, including consistent access to safe, adequate menstrual products, and more. In many carceral settings, menstrual supplies are limited, rationed, or treated as privileges rather than necessities, exacerbating health risks, indignity, and inequality. Inconsistent state laws and prison policies further deepen these disparities, often failing to recognize menstrual health as fundamental to reproductive autonomy and bodily dignity. By identifying legal and policy gaps surrounding menstrual health access, this project aims to promote equitable health and healthcare standards and advocate for reforms that uphold reproductive rights within carceral settings.
