Racial Health Equity Legal and Policy Cohort Information Session: Call for Applications for Network-Funded Law and Policy Assistance
Overview
May 7, 2026 | 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. CT
The Network’s Racial Health Equity Legal and Policy Cohort (RHE Cohort) is a comprehensive legal technical assistance opportunity that helps public health departments, community organizations, and advocates strategically use the power of law and policy to advance their racial health equity goals through tailored one-on-one support, training, and peer learning.
Join us for a webinar outlining the RHE Cohort’s recently released call for applications to support work on racial health equity. We are seeking applicants developing or working on a project or specific issue that prioritizes racial health equity that would benefit from legal and policy technical assistance. We may be able to assist with work that is at any stage of development.
Attend this webinar to learn about:
- Learn about the RHE Cohort.
- Obtain an overview of the Cohort’s application process and timeline and receive answers to common questions.
- Understand the type and extent of legal technical assistance available through the cohort, including understanding the legal landscape; applying racial equity tools to laws and policies; identifying legal barriers to achieving racial health equity; analyzing legal authority to implement reforms; and more.
- Hear about projects from the Network’s prior RHE Cohort and the type of legal technical support the Network provided to help participants achieve their equity goals.
