Funder Briefing Series
The Network’s Funder Briefing Series gives foundations and funders a focused look at how law and policy are shaping health in communities across the country. Drawing on the Network’s research and legal analysis, often conducted with partners including community-led and advocacy organizations, public health agencies, policymakers, and health care providers , each briefing explores an emerging issue, shares what we’re learning, and offers insights to inform funders’ public health investments and their support of grantee partners and communities.
About the Briefings
Briefings are open to foundation leaders and program officers, trustees, and other funders working in community health and related fields. Briefings are by invitation only.
Upcoming Briefings
Health and Democracy After the 2026 Midterms | February 2027
The Network and our partner, Institute for Responsive Government, will discuss the implications of the 2026 midterm elections and what’s on the horizon, including the 2028 elections and 2030 census. We’ll also share learnings from our new Health & Democracy Peer Group, which is designed to bring together representatives of community-based organizations, health departments, and healthcare organizations interested in building trust in government and public health so they work for the people. We’ve heard about the need to align institutions toward shared goals with community—through governance, funding, and infrastructure—as well as how local and state leaders are working toward exactly that to prioritize strengthening civic health.
