Jane Perkins is the Legal Director at the National Health Law Program (NHeLP), a public interest law firm working to advance access to quality health care and protect the legal rights of low-income and underserved people. Ms. Perkins focuses on public insurance, disability and civil rights law. She engages in litigation and manages NHeLP’s litigation docket. She is also a senior attorney with the Southeastern Region Office of the Network for Public Health Law, specializing in maternal and child health and Affordable Care Act implementation. Ms. Perkins is admitted to the state bars of California, Maryland and North Carolina; all of the federal circuit courts of appeals; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Over the years, she has provided technical and consultation support to health lawyers and advocates in all 50 states and national and state-based training, including on-site training in 34 states and the District of Columbia.
