Overview

Maggie Mahoney is the director of the Tobacco Control Legal Consortium, a network of attorneys supporting tobacco control policy change throughout the United States. Maggie leads the Consortium's strategic efforts to eliminate tobacco-related death and disease, coordinates the Consortium’s provision of legal technical assistance, and helps public health professionals, lawyers, and advocates with tobacco-related policy issues. She also oversees preparation of friend-of-the court (amicus curiae) briefs in key tobacco cases, provides litigation support to governmental attorneys, prepares educational materials, and provides training on public health and tobacco law issues. Minnesota Lawyer selected Maggie as one of its “2008 Up & Coming Attorneys.” Maggie is the recipient of the 2015 C. Everett Koop Unsung Hero Award.
