Publications and Research

Aubrey Joy Corcoran is an Assistant Attorney General in the Education and Health Section of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office where she practices public health law. Her practice includes litigation at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. Her primary practice areas focus on emergency preparedness, medical facility licensure, medical marijuana, and sexually violent person commitments.

Before attending law school, Aubrey Joy earned her master of public health degree from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. From there, she went on to work as an HIV Program Specialist with the Indian Health Service, an Epidemiologist with the Inter-Tribal Council of Arizona, and an Emergency Preparedness Trainer with the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Aubrey Joy received her juris doctor degree with a health law certificate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. After graduating from law school, Aubrey Joy clerked for Judge Patricia K. Norris on the Arizona Court of Appeals and entered private practice before returning to her true passion—public health. She was the first Fellow for the Public Health Law and Policy Program at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and was also one of the first participants selected for the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute/Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Public Health Fellowship Program.
