Andy Baker-White received his law degree from the University of Kentucky and then practiced law at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass where he provided civil legal representation to victims of domestic violence, tenants in federal housing, and residents of long-term care facilities.
In 2010, Andy received his M.P.H. from the University of Washington School of Public Health. During this period he worked on several public health law and policy issues including emergency preparedness for low-literacy populations, local paid sick leave, local health department strategic planning, and the health impact of the implementation of India’s domestic violence law.
Previously, Andy worked with the Network for Public Health Law and provided direct legal technical assistance to public health practitioners, attorneys, advocates and anyone who is interested in the way law improves and protects public health. Andy’s work at the Network allowed him to investigate and explore topics ranging from public health authority and cross-jurisdictional sharing of public health services to immunizations and the privacy and security of health data and information.
