Andrew Kunka is a Legal Research Associate for Public Health Law Research (PHLR). Mr. Kunka is responsible for researching, analyzing, and coding health laws for the creation of quantitative legal datasets in LawAtlas.org. He has worked on cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets related to youth traumatic brain injury, physician scope of practice, nurse practitioner scope of practice and registered nurse scope of practice.
Before coming to PHLR, Mr. Kunka served as fellow in Philadelphia Council President Darrell Clarke’s Bureau of Legislative and Policy Research. He has also worked as civil rights attorney in New Jersey focusing on affordable housing and was a member of former Newark Mayor Cory Booker’s LGBTQ Advisory Concerns Commission. Mr. Kunka graduated from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2011 with a J.D. degree, and received a Master of Arts in Public Affairs and Politics from Rutgers Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy in 2012.
